Footage has been released of Velveteen Dream's arrest.
On August 20, 2022, Dream (Patrick Clark) was involved in an incident at a gym in Florida where he allegedly punched and bit an employee.
In a video released by TMZ, Clark can be seen already placed in handcuffs and being asked to get into a police vehicle. Clark then asks for his cell phone and is told it is being brought with him. Eventually, Clark starts telling the officer that is driving the vehicle that he was never read his Miranda Rights and tells the cop he "fucked up."
Clark can also be heard in the video saying that he was "a little inebriated" and claiming that he "works for the WWE." WWE released Clark in 2021 and his last NXT match was on December 23, 2020.
As previously reported, Patrick Clark's court hearing for charges of battery and trespassing on a property, originally scheduled for September 28, was canceled and the case was closed after court records indicated that prosecutors believed they did not have enough to go forward with a case against Clark to obtain a conviction, therefore the case was "not suitable for prosecution."
In January 2022, Velveteen Dream commented on his release from WWE, claiming that he believes he was affecting WWE's bottom line. Read Clark's comments here.
Fightful reported earlier this year that prior to his legal troubles, WWE showed no interest in bringing Patrick Clark back into the fold. Read more here.
