Vince McMahon Attacked After Booking Hell In A Cell Match, Stephanie McMahon Returns

After four years of not appearing on the program, Vince McMahon brought his familiar strut back to Smackdown Live.

Vince McMahon showed up and booked a Hell in a Cell match for next month, pitting Kevin Owens against Shane McMahon. After doing so, Kevin Owens attacked Vince, busting him open and landing several other strikes. Owens then assaulted a referee and hit a frog splash. Stephanie McMahon admonished Kevin Owens after the attack and helped her father up.

You can see an excerpt from our live Fightful.com coverage below:

Kevin Owens comes out to the ring before Mr.McMahon does, Kevin saying that it is the first time he's ever been in the ring at the same time with him and that he's intimidated. Vince says that he's not intimidated, more like disgusted before saying that Shane beat his ass last week. Vince then proceeds to talk about how many lawsuits he's won and that he would bankrupt Kevin if he sues him. Vince says that Kevin got what he deserved before making a match between Shane and Kevin at WWE Hell in a Cell next month. They then shake hands before Kevin headbutts Vince and lays him out with a frog splash before the officials make him leave as we go off the air.

McMahon was advertised last week by Smackdown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan, who said that Vince was going to personally address threats made by Kevin Owens. Following an attack by Smackdown Live commissioner Shane McMahon, Vince's son, Owens threatened to sue WWE and the entire McMahon family.
