Vince McMahon is headed back to SmackDown Live.
WWE announced that Vince McMahon is set to appear on tonight's WWE SmackDown Live to address the situation with Kofi Kingston. At WWE Fastlane on Sunday, McMahon pulled a swerve on Kofi, implying he would be added to the WWE Title bout between Kevin Owens and Daniel Bryan. McMahon stated that match would be a triple threat contest and sent Kofi to the ring, claiming the WWE Title tilt was up next. Instead, Kofi was greeted by Sheamus & Cesaro in a two-on-one handicap match.
Later in the night, Mustafa Ali was added to the WWE Title match as Vince McMahon is nothing if not a truthful man. During the match, the fans chanted "We Want Kofi" and "Kofi." Kofi took to social media following Fastlane to let Vince know that he isn't going away.
I’m not sure what Vince was trying to accomplish last night, but one thing became very clear: He does not want to see me as WWE Champion.
