Wardlow comments on MJF.
The last time MJF suffered a loss in singles competition was AEW Double or Nothing 2022 when he was defeated in emphatic fashion by Wardlow. MJF ended up being stretchered out of the arena following the bout, though he did return on the subsequent episode of AEW Dynamite to cut his infamous "fire me" promo.
MJF was off television until AEW All Out 2022, when he returned to confront AEW World Champion CM Punk. MJF won the AEW World Title at AEW Full Gear 2022 by defeating Jon Moxley, who won a tournament to capture the vacant title. Punk has since returned from injury and is now calling himself the "Real" AEW World Champion.
Speaking on DAE On Demand, Wardlow was asked about going after MJF and the AEW World Title.
"You would think so, but apparently, there are a lot of whining crybabies that are ahead of me. Let's face the facts, as long as MJF has the title, I'll probably never be in the picture as long as he has anything to do with it. He knows, as everyone knows, I murdered him when we wrestled. I am the one guy in the company that has beat our champion. Not only beat our champion, but squashed our champion. There is another guy running around calling him the champion and I'm pretty sure I beat the brakes off him as well," said Wardlow.
Wardlow commented further on MJF when asked what he can improve at in wrestling.
"Politics. As long as MJF is at the top, he's going to do everything he can to keep me at the bottom," he said.
Wardlow also confirmed that he will not be part of AEW Dynamite 200. He has not wrestled since the premiere episode of AEW Collision when he lost the AEW TNT Title to Luchasaurus.
MJF will be part of the show as fans will hear from the AEW World Champion. Fans can check out the lineup for AEW Dynamite 200 by clicking here.
