Bill Mercer has passed away at the age of 99.
Mercer was best known for his work as an announcer in World Class Championship Wrestling. He worked for the promotion from 1982 to 1987.
He also did play-by-play for baseball, football, basketball, and worked as a news reporter for Dallas radio station KRLD. He was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in 2020 and the Texas Radio Hall of Fame in 2002.
