With the 2017 Royal Rumble happening tonight, Charlotte Flair finds herself in the spotlight as she once again defends her Raw Women's Championship. Charlotte has yet to lose a pay-per-view championship match and does not planning on losing this Sunday against Bayley, either.
Charlotte definitely has been the focus of the women's division in WWE for more than a year and has been the most successful women's wrestler between the two brands since the WWE split its roster this summer. Known for past rivalries with Paige, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks prior to her current one with Bayley, Charlotte still lacks one big fight that she says she would love to see. In an interview with Crave Online, Charlotte reveals her most wanted opponent, saying:
My dream match would be "Queen vs. Queen" Stephanie McMahon. But who's going to be the good guy? (laughs) It will be evil vs. evil.
Charlotte also talked about the build to tonight's title match against Bayley.
"I’m just really excited," she said. "The story itself and being able to use real life aspects to add to the build has been a lot of fun. On Raw a couple of weeks ago, when we showed the real photos of her with superstars, that was actually really her journal. It has been a lot of fun for each of us to play our parts of good guy and bad guy and having a definitive line between the two."
