Will Ospreay comments on competing at NOAH Marufuji 25th Anniversary Show and teases a major tag team match.
On September 17, Will Ospreay headlined NOAH Marufuji 25th Anniversary Show against Naomichi Marufuji. Marufuji won the bout, but Ospreay suggested that he wants to share the ring with him again.
In his post-match comments, Ospreay expressed his gratitude and suggested a potential tag team match where he would team up with Marufuji to face Eddie Kingston and Jun Akiyama.
"That was a dream come true. At 16 years old, Marufuji was my hero. To me and Eddie Kingston, similar history. We both love Japanese pro wrestling. We want to teach [it] to the world. Maybe we need to do Marufuji/Ospreay tag team [against] Eddie Kingston/Jun Akiyama. Tag team match. That’d be a good idea. I cannot say thank you enough to Pro Wrestling NOAH office, to Pro Wrestling NOAH fans, staff. Thank you so much for having me. I’m at a loss for words. This is a dream come true. Thank you all so much for having me today," Ospreay said.
