William Regal is back on NXT TV.
William Regal returned to WWE TV on the January 23 episode of the show, naming Ava as the new general manager of NXT.
The announcement was made after Regal and Ava walked out of the office of Shawn Michaels. Regal then gave Ava advice about handling the brand.
Regal served as the general manager of NXT beginning in July 2014 until he was released by WWE in January 2022.

This was Regal's first appearance on WWE TV since 2021 when he served as the General Manager for NXT. He was released by WWE in January 2022 and signed with AEW shortly after. Regal would remain with AEW though 2022, but requested his contract not be renewed so he could return to WWE to be with his son Charlie Dempsey. Regal's request was granted, but he could not appear on television in 2023. Regal worked behind the scenes as the Vice President of Global Talent Development.
