Willie Mack Defeats Samuel Shaw In The Finals Of The NWA National Heavyweight Championship Tournament

Willie has done it!!!!

Tonight at the 'Tennessee State Fairgrounds Sports Arena', the National Wrestling Alliance presented their 70th Anniversary show. Throughout the night there were two Four-Way matches featuring these eight competitors: Sammy Guevara, Colt Cabana, Scorpio Sky, Sam Shaw, Willie Mack, Jay Bradley, Mike Parrow and Ricky Starks and all eight men were vying to become NWA National Heavyweight Champion.

The first Four-Way of the night saw Sammy Guevara versus Samuel Shaw versus Scorpio Sky versus Colt Cabana and the former two-time OVW Southern Tag Team Champion Sam Shaw emerged victorious in that bout and secured his spot in the finals. The second Four-Way pitted Willie Mack, Jay Bradley, Ricky Starks and Mike Parrow against one another and after a hard-fought bout it was Willie Mack who was the last man standing.

The finals of the NWA National Heavyweight Championship tournament was set with Sam Shaw and Willie Mack looking to become the holder of the title. It was a back and forth bout and there were times when Willie Mack appeared to be out of it but he willed through and it was his "Stunner" finishing maneuver that sealed the deal to put Sam Shaw down for the three count and with that Willie Mack became the new NWA National Heavyweight Champion.
