Lola Vice, Gigi Dolin, and Kelani Jordyn were eliminated early on. Lash Legend, and Jakara Jackson were the next competitors out. Lyra Valkyria eliminated Elektra Lopez during a commercial. Blair Davenport came out to scout the match, and she dared Roxanne Perez to fight her. Perez brawled with her. Tatum Paxley eliminated herself to join in, as she helped Davenport beat up Perez. The former NXT Women's Champion was then eliminated by Jacy Jayne. Valkyria eliminated Jayne, and Cora Jade took Lyra out of the match with a dropkick.

The match came down to the final four of Dana Brooke, Fallon Henley, Cora Jade, and Kiana James. Kiana was eliminated when she tried to take out Henley. Brooke eliminated Henley, so she was in the final two with Jade. Thea Hail entered the ring, as she had never been eliminated. Hail then eliminated Jade and Brooke to win the match and earn a shot at the gold.

During her celebration, Hail was joined by other Chase U students and the Cavinder Twins (Hanna and Haley), who were part of the inaugural WWE Next in Line class. The appearance marked their WWE TV debut.

It is currently unknown when Hail will face Tiffany Stratton for the belt.
