During the WWE Hell in a Cell Kick-Off show it was announced that Cody Rhodes suffered a torn pectoral injury with his pec muscle coming off the bone.
Despite the injury, Rhodes was still scheduled to compete inside Hell in a Cell against Seth Rollins. Rhodes showed up and showed off just how bad his torn pec was when he removed his American Nightmare jacket.
Rhodes powered through the match, taking plenty of damage to his bruised right side, and managed to pick up the victory against Rollins.
Many of his peers were impressed with Rhodes' gutsy performance, taking to social media to react.

With so much content it’s easy for even great things to be quickly disposed of and forgotten about. This one won’t be. Congrats @CodyRhodes (and @WWERollins). It didn’t come easy but I finally forgive Cody for putting that bag over Kermit the Frog’s head. #HIAC https://t.co/HzYGQDqbaq

Never imagined he would be able to finish that match...and win.
