The WWE 2K series is on hold for now, but WWE 2K19 will continue to be supported by WWE Games.
The WWE 2K Games account put out the following tweet announcing matchmaking servers and community creations will continue to remain online until the next WWE 2K game is released. Road to Glory and Online Towers are no longer supported.
We have sunset support for 2K19 Road to Glory and Online Towers. However, in appreciation for our loyal community, we will continue to support all other WWE 2K19 modes (specifically matchmaking servers and Community Creations) until the launch of the next WWE 2K sim title. pic.twitter.com/yJcOFyOdJH

The servers were originally scheduled to shut down in September. A petition was started to keep the servers up with nearly 5,000 signatures at the time of this writing.
Though WWE 2K19 is not the latest offering by WWE and 2K, it was more popular and polished than WWE 2K20, which came with a host of bugs and issues. WWE has put the 2K series on hold for at least this year and will release the more arcade-style 2K Battlegrounds in September.
