WWE Backstage Returning For One-Hour Special

A special edition of WWE Backstage will air this Friday ahead of WWE SmackDown.

WWE announced that a special one-hour episode of WWE Backstage will air following SmackDown on Friday on FS1. SmackDown is moving to FS1 this week due to Game 3 of the World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and Los Angeles Dodgers airing on FOX.

From WWE:

SmackDown moves to FS1 this Friday for one week only at its normal time of 8/7 C due to Game 3 of the 2020 World Series airing on FOX.

Following the action of SmackDown, a special one-hour WWE Backstage will also air on FS1 from the WWE ThunderDome. Then a replay of the earlier edition of the blue brand will re-air at 11/10 C.

Don’t miss all the action of Friday Night SmackDown beginning at 8/7 C on FS1.

The lineup for WWE Backstage was not announced. The show was originally hosted by Renee Young with Booker T serving as co-host and guest appearances by the likes of Paige, Christian, and Mark Henry. CM Punk also appeared once a month as a special contributor.

Renee and Booker hosted a season premiere special ahead of the most recent episode of SmackDown.
