Drew Gulak earned his Championship match in a fatal four way.
On Monday, 205 Live General Manager tweeted the following teasing a big announcement.
A little bit over an hour later, Maverick announced on the WWE YouTube that Drew Gulak will challenging for Cedric Alexander's WWE Cruiserweight Championship at SummerSlam. While Maverick did not mention the word "kick off", the Cruiserweight Championship has only appeared on one pay-per-view's main card this year which was the Greatest Royal Rumble event.

Gulak earned his shot at Alexander last week on 205 live in a fatal four way match by defeating TJP, Mustafa Ali, and Hideo Itami.
This week, Cedric Alexander has been scheduled for a singles match against Brian Kendrick on 205 Live.
SummerSlam already has a WWE Championship match, a WWE Universal Championship match, a Raw Women's Championship match, and more scheduled including the appearances of Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey.
