WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T Returning To In-Ring Action In January

The Book-man is coming back to the ring.

At the recent 'Reality Of Wrestling' 'Christmas Chaos' show in Texas City, Texas which is the promotion founded by WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T, the ROW Heavyweight Champion Rex Andrews who has been reigning as champion for nearly 500 days issued a challenge. Booker T answered said challenge and Rex told him that they can have a match and after a few more words were exchanged, Booker T stated that they could have an exhibition next month. Andrews said that he wanted to face who Booker used to be and Booker then began chopping Andrews and they wrestled each other around the ring and outside for a few moments until Booker got on the microphone and stated that he was going to show up and show out at ROW's 'The Last Stand' show next month. Booker T's wife Sharmell posted a clip of the segment and Booker shared the full clip which can be viewed by clicking the link below.

The last time that Booker T wrestled was back in 2016 at the 'Reality Of Wrestling' 'Final Heat' show on-which he and Stevie Ray became ROW Tag Team Champions. The former 3-time WWE United States Champion Booker T has stated during a number of interviews this year that he would like to step back into the ring. During an episode of his 'Heated Conversations' podcast in July, Booker had the following to say about getting back in the ring:

You know what man? I’m thinking about, even perhaps having another match myself.” Booker continued, “I’m thinking about getting into the ring one more time… I wouldn’t say ‘one more time’, I might get in the ring another time after… I wouldn’t… I’ve never really said I was retired.” Booker stated that there was a ‘Harlem Heat’ retirement but not a Booker T retirement. “But as far as me I never said that I was retired. I never said that I was never gonna’ put the boots on ever again. People ask me do I miss it, I say, ‘No, I don’t.’ People ask me, ‘Man, are we gonna see one more match?’ and I’ve always said, ‘Hey, never say never’, because you never know what you’re going to do. Right now, I feel good. My body is in [as] peak performance as its going to get at this stage right now."

Booker T is taking on Rex Andrews at the January 12th 'Last Stand' show and an article about Booker's in-ring return will be published here on Fightful once the match is over.
