The semifinals of the Intercontinental Title tournament takes place next week on SmackDown.
WWE announced that both semifinal matches will take place on the May 29 edition of SmackDown. On one side of the bracket, Jeff Hardy will take on Daniel Bryan while AJ Styles takes on Elias on the other side.

Hardy punched his ticket to the semifinals with a win over Sheamus on May 22 while Bryan defeated Drew Gulak in the first round on May 15, which ended up being Gulak's last match with WWE. Styles, who went from Raw to SmackDown in a trade, defeated Shinsuke Nakamura on May 22 to advance to the tournament's final four and Elias picked up a win over King Corbin in the first round back on May 15.
The title was previously held by Sami Zayn, who wasn't able to defend the title and so, it was declared vacant.
