Fightful reports that the following names were released by the company:
- Bronson Reed: Former NXT North American Champion. Signed by WWE in 2019, had been working dark matches before SmackDown.
- Tyler Rust: Signed by WWE in 2020. Was part of Diamond Mine in NXT.
- Leon Ruff: Former NXT North American Champion. Signed by WWE in 2020. Set to compete on August 6 WWE 205 Live.
- Mercedes Martinez: Signed by WWE in 2020. Last wrestled on the June 29 episode of NXT.
- Bobby Fish: Signed by WWE in 2017. Lost to Roderick Strong on Tuesday's NXT.
- Ari Sterling: Regularly featured on 205 Live. Set fo face Kushida on the August 6 episode of 205 Live.
- Kona Reeves: Signed by WWE in 2014. Had not wrestled since February 2020.
- Stephon Smith: Signed by WWE in 2019. Never wrestled on television.
- Zechariah Smith: Signed by WWE in 2020. Never wrestled on television.
- Jake Atlas: Signed by WWE in 2019. Last wrestled on the July 23 episode of 205 Live.
- Asher Hale: Signed by WWE in 2021. Last wrestled on the July 30 episode of 205 Live.
- Giant Zanjeer: Wrestled at WWE Superstar Spectacle.
- Desmond Troy: Signed with WWE in 2018. Wrestled on the July 2 episode of 205 Live.
