The Lakers are getting a WWE Title to go along with their 17th Championship.
Triple H wrote on Twitter that he's sending the team a custom WWE Championship belt to commemorate their recent win over the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. The Lakers ended up winning the series 4-2.
Led by the dominant tandem of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Miami Heat, 106-93, in Game 6 to clinch the franchise’s 17th NBA Championship. WWE EVP of Talent, Live Events & Creative Triple H sent a custom WWE Championship to the Lakers to celebrate their first title since 2010.

— Victor Santos (@jobberman310) October 12, 2020This year, WWE has sent custom titles to champions like the Kansas City Chiefs, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Seattle Storm.
This isn't the first time Triple H and WWE have done something like this. It's not even the first time they did this this month. Earlier in October, the WNBA's Seattle Storm was sent a special WWE Title after they defeated the Las Vegas Aces to win the WNBA Finals.
Lakers owner Jeanie Buss also is involved in pro wrestling as she is a co-owner of the Women of Wrestling promotion.
