WWE is continuing their search for talent in Africa.
As announced on today's Q3 Earnings call, Nick Khan revealed that WWE will soon begin a Talent Search in Africa. The talent search is expected to begin next week, as the company will send members of the recruitment team to Nigeria to begin the process.
"This deal also involves the introduction of new, localized WWE content, starting with content creation around the WWE talent search in Africa." Khan noted. "Beginning next week, we will have members of the WWE talent recruiting team traveling to Nigeria to start the search."
WWE was originally set to hold a two-day tryout in Africa in April 2020, but the event never happened due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Most recently, the company held a tryout in Nashville, Tennessee in July as a part of WWE SummerSlam weekend. As a part of that tryout, 14 different college athletes were offered contracts.
