WWE SmackDown On 9/8 Suffers 15% Drop In Average Viewership, Key Demo Rating Also Down

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics reports that the September 8 episode of SmackDown recorded 2.094 million viewers in final average viewership. This is down big from the September 1 edition of the show, which recorded 2.443 million viewers.

Furthermore, Friday's SmackDown recorded a 0.53 rating in the 18 to 49 demo rating. This is also down big from the previous Friday's show, which recorded a 0.65 rating.

According to Spoiler TV, WWE SmackDown on September 8 drew 1.969 million viewers in the preliminary numbers. This number is down from the 2.28 million viewers in the preliminary numbers on September 1.

Friday's episode posted a 0.47 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. This is down from 0.6 prelim rating last Friday.

WWE SmackDown was the top-rated show on cable on September 8.
