Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for tonight's edition of WWE Smackdown on FOX!
- We open tonight's show with a recap of Crown Jewel before the Universal champion Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman to address Roman successfully defending his title against Brock Lesnar. Roman gets on the mic and immediately questions Paul as to who he threw the title to in the match last night before Roman says that he's not going anywhere until Brock comes out and stands by his declaration that he's going to beat Roman senseless when he shows up tonight. Roman then laughs and says that Brock must be scared of him before saying that he's not leaving the ring until Brock comes out as we go to commercial.
- We come back from the break to Roman still in the ring as he says that Brock fears him before he goes to leave and Brock finally shows up twenty minutes into the show before clotheslining Roman over the top rope and down onto the floor. Roman and Brock brawl before Brock sends Roman into the steps and stalks Paul down before hitting Roman with the steps and tossing them into the ring taking the top off of the announce table and the Usos save Roman from an F5 through the table. Brock tosses the Usos around before driving Roman into the post when he comes back with strikes before Adam and Sonya and officials come out to the ring before Brock nearly hits Roman with a camera. Brock then tosses officials around before Brock takes out several Superstars as the locker room gets between Roman and Brock before The Bloodline flee to the back and Brock holds up the title as we go to commercial.
- We come back from the break to a recap of what just happened before the break before we go to Adam in the ring as he announces that Brock has been indefinitely suspended before Brock comes back out to the ring and grabs Adam before hitting Adam with a pair of F5's before leaving as we go to commercial.
- We come back from the break to a recap of what happened before the break before we see that Adam was helped to the back and sent to a local medical facility before we go to Sonya backstage as she denies an interview before Naomi shows up and tells Sonya that she wants a match against her before Sonya makes Naomi leave. Sonya then turns and see Drew McIntyre as we see several Superstars talking in the background before Drew says that he's going to go to the ring to issue an open challenge.
- Drew and his sword come out to the ring before he gets on the mic and tells anyone who's willing to come out and face him before he's interrupted by Sami Zayn and Sami gets into the ring and yells at Drew before accepting his challenge.
Drew McIntyre vs Sami Zayn
Sami immediately rolls out of the ring and plays mind games with Drew before Drew goes out after him and sends him into the barricade as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Sami in control back in the ring before Drew comes back with strikes in the corner and an overhead belly to belly before clotheslining Sami and hitting another overhead suplex into a neckbreaker for two before Sami rolls out of the ring to avoid a Claymore. Drew grabs Sami on the apron before Sami snaps Drew's neck across the top rope before focusing on the neck of Drew before Drew headbutts him and posts himself before Sami sends him into a different post and goes for a Helluva Kick before Drew hits a Claymore for the pin and the win.
Winner: Drew McIntyre defeats Sami Zayn via pinfall.
- We go to the ring for the coronation of Xavier Woods as the King of the Ring after defeating Finn Balor to win the tournament at Crown Jewel.
- We get a backstage interview with Becky Lynch after her successful defense of the Smackdown Women's title at Crown Jewel as we go to commercial.
- We get a video package promo for NXT's Xia Li ahead of her upcoming debut for the blue brand.
Mansoor vs Mustafa Ali
Mustafa misses a running dropkick before Mansoor lays into him with strikes before hitting a back drop into a clothesline over the top rope before Mansoor chases Mustafa back into the ring and avoids an elbow drop before Mansoor sends Mustafa back over the top and down onto the floor. Mansoor tosses Mustafa back inside and hits a diving cross body for two before Mustafa hits a drop toe hold into the middle rope and hits a sunset flip into a sit-out powerbomb for a deep two count before Mansoor hits a butterfly German. Mansoor then turns Mustafa inside out before Mansoor pins Mustafa out of nowhere.
Winner: Mansoor defeats Mustafa Ali via pinfall.
- We get a series of backstage promos by Ridge Holland, Aliyah, Angel Garza, Humberto Carrillo, and Sheamus.
Hit Row (Isaiah Scott & Top Dolla (w/ B Fab & Ashante) vs Local Talent
Isaiah starts off the match before Top comes in and hits a senton for a two count before the other opponent comes in and breaks up the pin before Top hits a double front slam and tags Isaiah back in before they hit a double team move to the first opponent for the pin and the win.
Winner: Hit Row defeat a local tag team via pinfall.
- We get yet another recap of what happened earlier tonight with Brock and Roman and Brock and Adam before we get an update on Adam in a brief interview with Sonya who says that Adam insisted on telling Brock that he's suspended.
Shinsuke Nakamura (w/ Rick Boogs) vs Happy Corbin (w/ Madcap Moss)
Happy and Shinsuke go back and forth before Shinsuke drops Happy and knees him in the ribs before hitting a snap mare into a jumping knee for two before beating Happy down in the corner before hitting Good Vibrations and Happy knocks Shinsuke off of the top and down onto the apron. Happy then counters a suplex over the ropes into a release front suplex that sends Shinsuke crashing down onto the floor as we go to commercial.
We come back from the break to Happy in control of Shinsuke back in the ring before Shinsuke hits a leg lariat and strikes before hitting running knees in the corner for two before Happy counters a Kinshasa into a front side slam for two before Shinsuke counters a chokeslam. Shinsuke then takes out Madcap when he attacks Rick before Happy sends Shinsuke into the steps and hits The End of Days back inside the ring for the pin and the win.
Winner: Happy Corbin defeats Shinsuke Nakamura via pinfall.
- We get a brief backstage promo by RAW Women's champion Charlotte Flair ahead of the Title Exchange up next as we go to commercial.
- We come back from the break to the ring to the Title Exchange with Becky already in the ring alongside Sonya as Charlotte makes her way out to the ring before Charlotte drops the RAW Women's title when Becky grabs for it before Charlotte hands the title to Sonya. Becky throws the Smackdown Women's title to Charlotte before Charlotte holds it up and says that they should have a winner take all match tonight before they're interrupted by Sasha Banks. Sasha comes out to the ring and says that she runs the blue brand and says that Charlotte is out of her mind if she thinks that she's going to take over before Becky leaves with her title and says she'll see one of them at Survivor Series. Charlotte then mocks Sasha before Sasha punches Charlotte and lays into her with strikes before Sasha dodges a boot and Charlotte escapes a Banks Statement before Sasha hits a meteora off of the apron and Sonya separates them as we go off the air.
