WWE is teasing fans ahead of SmackDown 1000.
Earlier today on Facebook, WWE made a post with some interesting graphics alluding to potential big matches at SmackDown 1000 with the caption, "With the 1000th episode of WWE SmackDown Live on the horizon, can we have these matches, please?"
The matches teased are:
-Daniel Bryan vs. Kurt Angle
-AJ Styles vs. Rey Mysterio
-The Bar vs. The APA
-Charlotte Flair vs. Michelle McCool
-Samoa Joe vs. Batista
All five matches seem within the realm of possibility given the status of everyone listed. Kurt Angle is the Raw General Manager, who has been sent on vacation in storyline, but is reportedly training for a comeback. Rey Mysterio has been subject of WWE return rumors for month and his ties to WWE 2K19 won't quiet those rumors anytime soon. Ron Simmons and Bradshaw remain in good standing with company, as does Michelle McCool, who appeared in the Women's Royal Rumble this year. Finally, Batista has expressed his desire to return to WWE and was even disappointed that WWE has not reached out for him to appeared at SmackDown 1000.
SmackDown 1000 takes place on Oct. 16 for the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.
Do you think WWE can deliver on these matches or is this just the social media team getting fans' hopes up?
