At IMPACT Bound For Glory, Mike Bailey put his X Division Championship on the line against AEW's Frankie Kazarian. This was Bailey's 10th defense of the belt inside of an IMPACT ring (the record is currently held by Christopher Daniels, with 13 successful defenses). He won the title this past summer at Slammiversary in an Ultimate X match.
After a hard-fought encounter, it was Kazarian, a longtime IMPACT/TNA talent himself, who would win the bout. He caught Bailey with a Cutter and then applied a submission to win the X Division Championship for the fifth time. He has not held the belt since May 2011.
