X-Pac speaks on Chyna being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame alongside D-Generation X.
Earlier this week, WWE announced that D-Generation X would be inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the 2019 class. The group inducted into the Hall of Fame will include Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, X-Pac, and Chyna. While most fans were thrilled at Chyna's inclusion, some believe she deserves to go in as a singles performer.
Speaking to TMZ, X-Pac discussed Chyna's induction.
"Chyna finally gets the recognition she deserves, going into the Hall of Fame. I understand where (fans) are coming from. Of course, she deserves to go in by herself," said X-Pac. "The accomplishments that she made, even after leaving WWE, were huge. She fought a man in the Tokyo Dome for NJPW. There's only so many spots per year for the Hall of Fame. I just hope that people that think about her are still grateful that she's going in. This is a win. Sometimes, we should take the win."
When asked how he believed Chyna would feel about being inducted, X-Pac said, "It was huge for her before she passed. This is one of the things that was most important to her. I think she would be very grateful to be going in with all of us."
Following the announcement, Triple H spoke to ESPN and agreed with X-Pac and fans, believing Chyna should go into the Hall of Fame as an individual. Chyna's mom Jan LaQue stated she is "thrilled" over her daughter's induction.
