Xavier Woods wants King Of The Ring to return.
On today's episode of The Bump, Woods, joined by New Day members Kofi Kingston and Big E, was asked about him wanting the tournament to return. Woods said he has put into the universe the idea of New Day winning tag team titles and Kingston winning the WWE Championship, both of which came true, and now wants his King Of The Ring wish to come true.
“This is the thing. The rules of wrestling are always evolving. They are forever changing. We’re not sure when King Of The Ring is returning. We’re not sure if it’s ever going to happen. But as my good friend Kofi Kingston has instilled to me, he said, ‘Keep your blade sharp because you’re not sure when you’re ever going to go into battle.’ So I am making it known throughout every form possible that I want to be King Of The Ring. Do you know why? For such a long time, I put out into the Universe that New Day would be tag team champions and we did. For the longest time, I put out that Kofi Kingston would be WWE Champion and he did. So what happens now? I said I was going to be King Of The Ring and before I am done with this company, if a tournament arises, I will become King Of The Ring, thus making [New Day] the three kings,” Woods said.
Excuse us @ScrapDaddyAP, @AustinCreedWins has the humblest of requests to bring back the King of the Ring tournament so he can achieve his dream of entering and WINNING the entire tournament to become THE King of the Ring!
