The Young Bucks give Tony Khan his props for still appearing at the NFL draft despite their attack on him just hours before on AEW Dynamite.
While Tony Khan is not able to work on location following his attack at the hands of The Elite's Matthew Jackson, Jack Perry, Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry on the April 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, he was able to appear at the NFL draft in a neck brace.
During a recent interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson gleefully expressed a long-running desire to attack Tony Khan the way that they did. However, they also expressed begrudging respect for Tony Khan for continuing his duties at the NFL draft despite what they did to him.
“I’m surprised he had the balls to show up on TV after we humiliated him like that,” said Nick Jackson. “But I give him credit for it.”
“Seeing him appear at the NFL Draft with the neck brace on was something even I had to respect,” added Matt Jackson. “Maybe he’s tougher than I thought.”
In the interim, The Young Bucks are actively running the show on AEW Dynamite. Nick Jackson says that they have no problem with this because they already get the blame for whatever goes wrong.
“We already take the heat and the blame for anything that ever goes wrong,” said Nick Jackson. “So we might as well be the ones running the show.”
The Elite will take on Bryan Danielson, Darby Allin, and FTR's Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler in Anarchy in the Arena at AEW Double or Nothing. Check out the full card here.
