Zack Ryder has arrived in AEW.
Ryder (who is going by his real name Matt Cardona) made a surprise appearance on AEW Dynamite, saving Cody from an attack by Dark Order. Cody had just defended his AEW TNT Title against Warhorse when two members of Dark Order came out to attack. Arn Anderson hit the ring to save Cody and before Dark Order could go after Arn, Ryder hit the ring to run them off.
Ryder and Cody embraced along with Arn on the outside after dispatching of Dark Order.

Cody has made no secret of his friendship with Ryder and has spoken highly of Ryder over the past few months following Ryder's release from WWE in April.
