Zay On Private Party Winning AEW Tag Team Titles: We Did It, Thank You To Everybody Who Showed Us Love

Zay thanks everyone for their support.

At AEW Fright Night Dynamite, Private Party (Zay and Quen) beat The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship. The victory was five years in the making, as it marked their first title win since they joined AEW in 2019.

In a new video on his YouTube channel, Zay, also known as Isiah Kassidy, commented on the duo's title win.

“Gotta show y’all something. [Shows off AEW World Tag Team Championship]. That shit’s crazy. We did it, y’all. We fucking did it. I want to thank you for everybody who showed us love throughout these years. To finally get to this point, it took us five years, but hey, we did it, God did it, we did it, fucking won these championships. Dealt with setbacks…this right here makes it all worth it," Kassidy said.

The video also included footage that highlighted Private Party's journey in recent months. One clip included Zay's comments ahead of their match at AEW WrestleDream, where they challenged The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

"Today’s the day. Five years in the making. We here baby. Patience is truly a virtue. Shoutout House of Glory, you know I gotta rep it. I know you’re with me in spirit when we out there winning those tag team belts today. It’s just crazy. I knew I was always gonna get here at some point, but it’s really happening, it’s really here. Time to be AEW Tag Team Champions. Five years in the making. But we’re here. So shoutout to everybody that’s been supporting us. The support that we’ve got for these last couple weeks is insane. It’s crazy. You’re finally seeing a different side of us, especially me. I’ve just been talking from the heart. Every time you’ve seen me, whether it’s backstage interviews or backstage promos, that’s really me talking from the heart. I just want you to know how I’ve been feeling for the past five years. It’s time. There’s nobody way to put it than it’s just time. It’s time to take things serious and it’s time to get some championships. It’s time to start making people proud, especially the people who believed it in us since the very beginning, and we haven’t really done nothing to show for it. So this one is for y’all," Zay said.

Private Party lost at AEW WrestleDream, but they got a rematch at AEW Fright Night Dynamite. There, if Private Party lost, they would have had to split up. Zay shared his thoughts ahead of the match and noted that he and Quen had been looking forward to winning the gold since they arrived in AEW.

“Today’s the day. Today’s a big day. Today’s the day when we finally become champions. It’s something me and Quen have been looking forward to since we came to AEW, being tag team champions. If I’m a betting man, I’m gonna bet that I’m getting a championship today," Zay said.

Kassidy also noted that his family and friends were in attendance for the show. He then thanked the fans for their support again, and the video played highlights of their title win.
