This is the Fightful.com live coverage for WWE Hell in a Cell! We have an action packed event tonight as in our main event Kevin Owens will square off against Shane McMahon in a Hell in a Cell Match, Jinder Mahal will defend his WWE World Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles will defend his WWE United States Championship against Baron Corbin and much more so be sure to come back here at 7PM EST for the preshow and 8PM EST for the main show!
Pre-Show
-Tye Dillinger petitions Daniel to put him in the United States Championship match and he does so AJ will have to defend his title against both Baron Corbin and Tye Dillinger tonight.
-Aiden English joins on commentary where he explains why he's working with Rusev. English talks about the xenophobic WWE universe before saying that he thinks that Rusev will win his match against Randy Orton later tonight.
-Charlotte is interviewed backstage about her title match against Natalya later tonight.
Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable vs Hype Bros
Chad and Mojo start the match before before Shelton says that he wants in. Shelton backs Mojo into their corner and they start tagging in and out before Mojo hits a running cross body for a quick two count. Zack tags in and takes Gable down repeatedly before Shelton tags himself in. Shelton drops Zack with a shoulder block before they exchange quick two counts, then Shelton hits a spinebuster before sending Zack out of the ring as we go to commercial.
Gable hits a bridging suplex for a quick two count as we come back from commercial, then Shelton tags in and hits a powerslam for a near fall. Gable gets back in and beats on Zack in the corner before Shelton tags back in. Zack hits a missile dropkick before Chad and Mojo tag in. Mojo drops Chad repeatedly before hitting a running clothesline in the corner and a spinning powerslam for a near fall. Chad then hits a belly to belly suplex into a moonsault for a near fall before Shelton tags in and they hit a double team move for another near fall.
Mojo takes out both Shelton and Chad, sending Chad out of the ring before hitting a jumping flat liner for a near fall that Zack breaks up. Chad and Shelton then hits a powerbomb clothesline for the pin and the win.
Winner: Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin via pinfall
Main Show
WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship
Hell in a Cell Match
New Day (c) vs The Usos
Both teams get weapons out from under the ring before they drop them and start brawling. Xavier wraps a chain around his wrist and drops Jimmy with a right hand before hitting him with it. E hits a tope onto Jey on the outside before Xavier hits Jimmy with various instruments including a cow bell and a gong. Jey hits Xavier with a chair that sends him out of the ring before the Usos beat on E with kendo sticks until they break. The Usos beat on Xavier at ringside as Kofi looks on, hitting a running hip attack into the steel mesh of the cell.
New Day hit Up Up Down Down for a near fall that Jey breaks up, then wedge Jey into a corner of the cell and trap him there with kendo sticks. Jey breaks free and the Usos take out Xavier before double teaming E and hitting a double splash off of the top rope for a near fall. The Usos handcuff both members of New Day before using Xavier as a pinata. E breaks free and hits a belly to back suplex before spearing both Usos into the side of the cell. E then hits the Big Ending for a near fall before the Usos hit a series of superkicks.
The Usos then hit a double splash off of the top rope for a near fall that Xavier breaks up. The Usos best Xavier down with a kendo stick before they pile chairs on top of him and hit another double splash off of the top rope for the pin and the win.
Winner: The Usos defeat New Day to become WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions.
Randy Orton vs Rusev
They lock up to start the match for a clean break before dropping each other, then Randy sends Rusev out of the ring. Rusev gets back in and beats Randy down in the corner before playing to the crowd. Rusev hits a fall away slam into the barricade before playing to the crowd some more, then rolls Randy back into the ring for a quick two count. Randy fights out of a rear chin lock only for Rusev to drop him for a quick two count. Randy gets out of the ring to regroup before Rusev goes out after him, Randy dropping him back first against the barricade.
They get back in the ring exchange right hands until Randy hits a powerslam for a near fall. Rusev counters a draping DDT into a fall away slam before hitting a roundhouse kick for a near fall. Randy quickly counters the Accolade and rolls out of the ring before Rusev goes out after him and superkicks him to the floor. Rusev rolls Randy back into the ring before missing a splash off of the second rope. Randy then hits a draping DDT before hitting an RKO after he counters another Accolade for the pin and the win.
Winner: Randy Orton via pinfall
WWE United States Championship Triple Threat Match
AJ Styles (c) vs Baron Corbin vs Tye Dillinger
AJ and Tye go after Corbin who quickly rolls out of the ring, then back into the ring before they double team him and send him right back out of the ring. Tye and AJ exchange pin attempts for a series of quick two counts, then AJ dropkicks Tye before Corbin drags him out of the ring and sends him into the announce table. Corbin sends Tye out of the ring before AJ comes back in, but Corbin overpowers him and beats him down in the corner. Corbin tosses AJ across the ring before sending him into the ring post and out of the ring. Corbin beats Tye down in the ring before mocking him and AJ.
Corbin drops Tye with a back elbow before sending AJ into the barricade and dropping Tye with a right hand. Corbin locks in a standing arm triangle before AJ comes back in and gets dropped with a right hand in midair. Corbin sends Tye out of the ring before AJ comes back with a flurry of offense. AJ hits a sliding forearm before teasing the Styles Clash, but Corbin counters it before being sent over the top rope and to the floor. Tye comes back in and hits a high back body drop before hitting a series of right hands in the corner.
AJ and Tye counter each other's finishers before AJ locks in the Calf Killer, Corbin breaking it up by dragging Tye out of the ring. AJ hits a diving forearm to the outside before Corbin sends him into the ring post, then Corbin hits a Deep Six to Tye and chokebreaker to AJ for a near fall. Everyone hits a move before Tye falls on top of Corbin for a near fall, then AJ hits a springboard 450 splash for a near fall. AJ then hits the Phenomenal Forearm before Corbin kicks him out of the ring and pins Tye for the win.
Winner: Baron Corbin pins Tye Dillinger to become WWE United States champion
WWE Smackdown Women's Championship Match
Natalya (c) vs Charlotte
They lock up to start the match before Charlotte takes Natalya down, the two then locking up again for a clean break before Charlotte rolls her up for a quick two count. Natalya stomps on Charlotte in the corner before focusing on her leg. Natalya turns Charlotte inside out with a lariat before Charlotte comes back with a series of chops. Charlotte plays to the crowd before Natalya hits a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. They exchange strikes before Charlotte drops Natalya with a boot, then Natalya sends her into the ring steps before Charlotte hits a moonsault to the outside. They brawl at ringside before Natalya attacks Charlotte with a chair for the disqualification.
Winner: Charlotte wins via disqualification, but Natalya retains her title.
- We get a fashion police segment where they receive a mystery briefcase.
WWE Championship Match
Jinder Mahal (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura
They lock up to start the match before exchanging wrist locks, then Shinsuke goes for an armbar before Jinder is quick to the ropes for the break. Shinsuke hits a series of knees and Good Vibrations in the corner before hitting Jinder with a series of knees until he rolls out of the ring. Jinder sends Shinsuke into the ring post repeatedly, then into the crowd before beating on him once he's back in the ring. Jinder keeps Shinsuke grounded until Shinsuke comes back with a series of kicks and running knee in the corner. Shinsuke takes out the Singh brothers at ringside before missing a knee off of the apron, then Jinder suplexes him into the ring for a near fall.
Shinsuke counters the Khallas before hitting a knee off of the top rope, then the Singhs distract Shinsuke before he hits a sit-out facebuster. The Singhs are then barred from ringside before Shinsuke hits the Kinshasa, but Jinder gets his hand on the bottom rope for a near fall. Shinsuke counters one Khallas, but cannot the third and Jinder picks up the pin and the win.
Winner: Jinder Mahal retains his WWE Championship by defeating Shinsuke Nakamura via pinfall
Bobby Roode vs Dolph Ziggler
They mock each other to start the match before Dolph takes Roode down with a headlock. They exchange headlocks before Roode mocks Dolph and plays to the crowd, then Dolph beats on Roode in the corner before Roode runs out of the corner and drops Dolph with a clothesline. Dolph comes back with a dropkick for a quick two count before hitting a neckbreaker for another quick two count. Roode fights out of a headlock before Dolph puts him in a sleeper hold that he counters with a back suplex. Dolph goes shoulder first into the ring post before they exchange right hands until Roode hits a diving neckbreaker for a near fall.
Dolph counters Glorious DDT with a roll up for a near fall before putting Roode in another sleeper hold. Dolph hits a famouser for a near fall before Roode counters a superkick with a spinebuster. Dolph counters the Glorious DDT again before they hit a series of roll ups with Roode getting the pin and the win.
Winner: Bobby Roode via pinfall
-After the match Dolph hits the Zig Zag before leaving.
Falls Count Anywhere Hell in a Cell Match
Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens
They brawl at ringside to start the match before Shane hits a clothesline off of the barricade, then hits a roundhouse kick before they get into the ring. They quickly exit the ring and Kevin tosses Shane into the ring post and the cell wall before Shane comes back with a series of kicks. Kevin beats him down and tosses him into the ring before hitting a running senton for a quick two count. Kevin beats Shane down in the corner before hitting a cannonball for a near fall. Kevin misses a swanton bomb before Shane comes back with a series of strikes.
Shane hits a DDT before missing a shooting star press, then Kevin hits a splash off of the top rope for a near fall. Shane counters a pop-up powerbomb with a triangle choke, but Kevin manages to squeeze out of it by getting out of the ring. Shane applies it again, but Kevin powerbombs him onto the ring steps for a very close near fall. Kevin stomps on Shane and yells at him as the crowd beta for tables and Kevin obliges. Kevin puts Shane on the table before going for a cannonball off of the apron, but Shane gets out of the way at the last second, then covers Kevin for a near fall.
Shane picks up half of the broken table and hits Kevin with it repeatedly before getting a trash can out from under the ring. Shane rolls Kevin back into the ring and wedges the trash can against him before hitting a coast to coast for a near fall. Shane cuts the lock off of the cell before getting back in the ring and wearing the trash can out on Kevin before he rolls out of the ring and the cell. Kevin hits a DDT onto the ramp and beats on Shane around ringside before headbutting him onto an announce table. Kevin starts to jump off of the barricade, then opts to climb the cell and presumably jump off of the top of it. Kevin hesitates and Shane makes his way up the side of the cell before they exchange strikes on the cell and hits a side Russian leg sweep.
Shane suplexes Kevin onto the roof of the cell before Kevin beats him down and hits a running senton. They exchange strikes before Kevin hits a pop-up powerbomb onto the roof of the cell. They exchange strikes some more before Kevin drops Shane with a forearm, then decides to get off of the cell, but Shane goes after him and sends him off of the side of the cell and through the announce table. Shane puts Kevin on another table before climbing back up on top of the cell. Shane jumps off of the top of the cell, Sami Zayn shows up and puls Kevin out of the way at the last moment. Sami then drags Kevin over to Shane and makes the referee count the pin for the win.
Winner: Kevin Owens via pinfall
-After the match we get several replays at various angles and we see Sami Zayn looking on as Shane is taken out on a stretcher and Kevin is helped to the back.
