This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of WWE Smackdown Live! Tonight we have a great show as in our main event Chris Jericho defends his WWE United States Championship against Kevin Owens! We also have the women in action when the division looks to give Charlotte a proper welcoming to the Smackdown! -Shane McMahon comes out to start the show and talks about Chris Jericho coming to the brand before Jericho comes out to the ring. Shane tells Chris that he will be defending the United States Championship against Kevin Owens before they're interrupted by AJ Styles. AJ tells Chris that this is the house he built, then Chris says this is his house now before Kevin Owens comes out to the ramp. Kevin says that nothing matters except he gets his rematch and he will take back the United States Championship. Kevin tells Chris that he has no idea what's going to happen to him tonight and tells AJ to leave, but AJ comes up the ramp and they start brawling before being broken up as we go to commercial.
Sami Zayn vs Jinder Mahal
They exchange wrist and hammer locks before Sami hits a huricanrrana, then dropkicks Jinder out of the ring as we go to commercial.
Jinder is in control as we come back until Sami counters a superplex, then Jinder drops him with a running knee for a near fall. Sami hits a diving cross body for a near fall, then Sami hits a tornado DDT for a near fall before the Singh brothers interfere, allowing Jinder to slam him down for the pin and the win.
Winner: Jinder Mahal via pinfall
-We then have Natalya, Carmella, Tamina and James confronting Becky and talking about Charlotte and Naomi before we go to commercial.
-We come back to Dolph backstage talking to random people and Shane about Shinsuke Nakamura.
Aiden English vs Tye Dillinger
Aiden goes right after Tye before he can even take his shirt off, then drops him with strikes before Tye drops him with a running forearm. Tye then clotheslines Aiden before stomping him repeatedly in the corner, then hits the Tye Breaker for the pin and the win.
Winner: Tye Dillinger via pinfall
-We come back to Jericho being interviewed and he puts Aiden English on the list when he sees him crying and does the same to Renee before leaving. We then have Charlotte being interviewed before she's attacked by Natalya, Carmella and Tamina.
Naomi vs Natalya & Carmella
Naomi toys with Carmella before she falls back into her corner and tags in Natalya. Natalya takes her down, then she gets back up before playing to the crowd before Naomi hits a sunset flip for a quick two count. Naomi hits a huricanrrana that sends her out of the ring, then goes for a baseball slide, but Natalya catches her and slams her face into the steps. Natalya tags in Carmella who puts Naomi in a head lock that she quickly gets out of, then Carmella hits her with a neckbreaker before choking her in the ropes. They start double teaming Naomi before Naomi and Natalya both hit a cross body as Charlotte comes out to the ring.
Naomi tags Charlotte in and she drops Carmella on the apron before hitting Natalya with a neckbreaker and a leg lariat before chopping Carmella when she tries to attack her from behind.Natalya then knocks Charlotte to the apron as we go to commercial.
Carmella is in control of Charlotte as we come back until she misses a bronco buster, then tags in Naomi who hits diving cross body, then a leg lariat. Naomi hits a sit out face buster, then drops her with a hip attack for a near fall before James gets on the apron and Carmella rolls her up for the pin and the win.
Carmella via pinfall
-Tamina gets in the ring and they attack Charlotte and Naomi before Becky comes out and acts like she'll join them before attacking them. They then team up and take her out as well before leaving as we go to commercial.
Sin Cara vs Dolph Ziggler
They start by grappling until Dolph gets into the ropes, then hits a back elbow before dropping Sin Cara with a right hand. Sin Cara hits a diving cross body, then chops him before hitting a springboard back elbow. Sin Cara then hits a springboard moonsault before playing to the crowd, sending Dolph out of the ring before diving out onto him. They get back in the ring, then Dolph hits a superkick after countering a moonsault for the pin and the win.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler via pinfall
-We then get a video package for the Fashion Police who make up a list of crimes that the Usos have done. Tyler then says that they'll bust them May 21st in Chicago at Backlash before they get a call about someone wearing socks and flip flops.
Chris Jericho vs Kevin Owens WWE United States Championship Match
They start brawling as soon as the match starts, then Jericho dropkicks Owens out of the ring before smashing the hand of KO on the steps and kicking it. Kevin attacks Chris when he tries to roll back in the ring after Kevin rolled in when Chris tried to pin his hand between the ring post and steps. Kevin hits a snapmare into a senton for a quick two count, then Chris comes back with a missile dropkick for a quick two count. Chris chops KO in the corner repeatedly, then whips him across the ring before Kevin sends him out of the ring, then KO hits a cannon ball into the barricade before rolling him back into the ring for a near fall as we go to commercial.
KO is in control as we come back until he misses a cannon ball in the corner, then Chris hits a lionsault for a near fall before trying for the Walls of Jericho, but Kevin counters at first before Chris locks it in the second time. Kevin gets to the ropes right before tapping, then Kevin drops Chris with a back elbow for a near fall. Chris locks in the Walls of Jericho a second time, but Kevin gets to the ropes right before tapping a second time. Kevin gets back in and hit a superkick for a near fall, then Chris rolls him up for a near fall of his own before Chris hits a Pop-Up Powerbomb for the pin and the win.
Winner: Kevin Owens via pinfall
-KO then hits Chris with another Pop-Up Powerbomb after the match before the referees make him leave as we go off of the air.
