Yoel Romero Responds To Michael Bisping's Criticisms

MMA

UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping has been on the wrong side of a lot of fighters lately. You can add middleweight star Yoel Romero to the list.

Bisping appeared on Sirius XM Rush and said that he would not defend the middleweight title against Romero after Romero failed a drug test.

Romero has finally issued a response to the middleweight champion's comments and the two could meet down the road, assuming Romero can get past Chris Weidman at UFC 205.

"Brother, what do I have to possibly think about what Bisping says?" Romero told MMA Fighting. "He has his own way of thinking and nobody is here to question other's peoples thinking or desires. That's what he desires, that's what he wants, but now, is Michael Bisping the owner or the big boss of the UFC? He can wish and want things, but another thing is that I win, and the UFC sees that I'm truly the one that should be fighting for the title, he's not going to be able to fight against that. So I don't worry about, I don't lose sleep or appetite over what Michael Bisping thinks or says. I'm going to do my job in New York, and we'll see what happens."

Yoel Romero will be competing at UFC 205, which takes place on Saturday, November 12 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Eddie Alvarez and Conor McGregor headlining.
