The Bracket For The 2018 New Japan Cup Has Been Revealed

The 2018 New Japan Cup bracket looks to be one that will provide great in-ring action per usual.

NJPW has released the bracket for the annual New Japan Cup tournament. The winner of this tournament will be able to challenge for the either the Heavyweight, Intercontinental, or NEVER Openweight Championship.

The following are the matches that will take place over the course of the elimination-style tournament.

3/9: Michael Elgin vs. Tomohiro Ishii
3/9: Juice Robinson vs. Yujiro Takahashi
3/10: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Taichi
3/10: Bad Luck Fale vs. Lance Archer
3/11: YOSHI-HASHI vs. Kota Ibushi
3/11: Tetsuya Naito vs. Zack Sabre, Jr.
3/12: Toru Yano vs. Davey Boy Smith, Jr.
3/12: Chuck Taylor vs. SANADA

The semifinals of the tournament will take place on March 13th and 14th, before the finals on March 21st. As noted, the winner of the New Japan Cup will earn themselves a championship opportunity of their choosing and they will have that match on April 1st at the 'Sakura Genesis' event.
