Bryan Caraway has suffered an undisclosed injury and he is off UFC Fight Night Fresno, where he was set to face Luke Sanders in bantamweight division action.

This is the latest in a line of woes for Caraway, who has already been out of action for over a year now. Caraway’s last fight in the UFC was a decision victory over Aljamain Sterling at UFC Fight Night 88 in May of 2016.

UFC officials are seeking a replacement opponent for Sanders to fight at the event, but there are just under three weeks until the show takes place.

Sanders (11-1-0) is looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Iuri Alcatnara at UFC 209. Sanders does have one victory already under the UFC banner and that came over Maximo Blanco at UFC Fight Night 81. Sanders is also a former Resurrection Fighting Alliance Bantamweight Champion, defeating fellow UFC fighter Terrion Ware to win the gold in 2015.

UFC Fight Night Fresno takes place on Saturday, December 9 from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California with Cub Swanson and Brian Ortega headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
