CFO$ Discuss Their Favorite Song That They Created, Singing On The NXT Theme Song

For WWE fans of the past few years, the musical talents of CFO$ can be heard nearly everywhere on WWE TV and the group revealed what their favorite song they made is.

John Paul Alicastro and Michael Conrad Lauri, the duo that comprises CFO$, was on the "Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast" and talked about their favorite song they worked on. Alicastro said his favorite song is the duo's remix of "The Night," which served as Monday Night RAW's theme song from 2014-16. Alicastro said he was very proud of the fact that they wrote and rapped the remix of the song and that it was their breakout song.

“‘Tonight Is The Night’ [The Night] mainly because of what it means to me and that was the breakout song. It was us doing all the rapping, we wrote the whole thing. Even though it’s pretty old at this point to me, that song just has a special spot for me,” Alicastro said.

But "The Night" wasn't the only WWE show theme the duo sang for. Lauri did the vocals for NXT's "Roar Of The Crowd" song that served as the show's theme song when NXT was on the WWE Network in 2014. Lauri even admitted that his singing for that song was really more of an impersonation of a rock legend.

“‘Roar of the Crowd’ was actually my James Hetfield (lead vocalist for Metallica) impression,” Lauri said.

Alicastro said singing for different songs, including NXT, requires them to have a different singing style and that the duo are able to change the sound without the need for editing.

“So sometimes, we actually can change the way that we sound without using an effect. That was him just going for it and it worked,” Alicastro said.

CFO$ has done many WWE wrestlers' theme songs, but recently came out and said they had nothing to do with a recent change to Emma's theme song. The full show can be watched in the video above.
