Chad Gable Says That American Alpha Hasn't Split Up, They're Just Doing Their Own Thing For A While

What with American Alpha taking a sabbatical from being on TV since the spring, until Chad Gable lied about moving to Dayton Ohio and got a shot at Kevin Owens' US Title two weeks ago, and then taking on AJ Styles in another singles match last night, fans of Gable and his tag partner Jason Jordan could be forgiven for worrying that they're being broken up.

After all, Enzo & Cass have fallen apart, and the Hype Bros are teetering on the brink as well, so what's up with American Alpha?

Don't worry, everyone. Chad Gable says it's cool. In the video above, he says that he and Jordan are trying to stay on top of their game as the tag division has moved on to different things. They support each other even as they're trying the singles game out for a while.

"We thrive on competition, that's who American Alpha is. We want competition. We had our run with the titles. There are other guys in the hunt right now and we got kind of pushed to the back of the line. However that works, that's fine. All we want is competition in the meantime. Jason knows it, I know it, we support each other 100-percent, and we're good. Wait until Jason gets his chance -- he's going to show the exact same thing I did. We can hang with any single guy on this roster, not just any tag team like we've proven, any single guy."

Former NXT Tag Champs American Alpha were brought up to the main roster during the Brand Split Draft last summer, and had one run with the SmackDown Tag Titles that lasted 84 days.
