Conor McGregor Says WWE Fans Will Tune Into UFC 202

Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz might just be the feud of 2016, but McGregor vs. WWE is a close second.

The UFC 202 main event now has a subplot that started when McGregor made his now-infamous comments blasting WWE. McGregor continued making waves by telling Kenny Florian and Daniel Cormier on UFC Tonight that WWE fans will tune into UFC 202 just to see him lose for a second time in a row.

"It's been amusing watching all of these dweebs scutter around," McGregor said. "They're flapping all over the place. They don't know what to do when a real man shows up and questions their.......whatever it is that they do - I don't even know what it is they do. It is what it is; I'm laughing all the way to the bank with it. Let all them boys and all that WWE universe tune in this Saturday at UFC 202."

The current UFC Featherweight champion started his verbal crusade against WWE when he called them "pussies" during the UFC 202 media conference call last week and then doubled down with his recent comments, this time targeting John Cena. Several wrestlers from all over the industry, including Roman Reigns, Kurt Angle, Taz and Ric Flair, have publicly called out McGregor on social media for his comments.

McGregor and Diaz will face-off against each other at UFC 202 on August 20 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Fightful will have live coverage of the entire show as well as a live podcast discussing the show.
