Daniel Cormier made some pretty heavy accusations in a twitter interaction with Jon Jones,
In the build-up to UFC 210 where Cormier beat Anthony Johnson, he talked about the former champion Jones being present at the pay-per-view. Jones was in the crowd at UFC 210, but Cormier focused on Jimi Manuwa in his post-fight interview. Jones is suspended until July for a drug test failure. On Twitter, Cormier was responding to a fan by saying Jones could not knock him out even when on steroids.

Jones who was tagged in the fan's tweet responded to Cormier. Jones questioned Cormier's motives.

Cormier then decided to double-down on his statement and said Jones is a "bum" who has never been clean.

Since the interaction with Jones, Cormier has also got into twitter interactions with Manuwa. Jones is returning to UFC after being stripped of his title, coming back to earn a shot at the championship against Cormier, and failing a drug test which resulted in a year suspension. Jones has fought one time since his last title defense when he beat Daniel Cormier in 2015. Cormier has fought four times in the same time.
The UFC Light Heavyweight Champion does not have an opponent lined up for his next defense.
