Edge Says There Probably Won't Be A Second Season Of The Edge & Christian Show On WWE Network

If you've been waiting with baited breath for a second season of "The Edge & Christian Show That Totally Reeks of Awesomeness," I have some bad news.

On a recent edition of The E & C Pod of Awesomeness, Edge answered a question from a fan about whether a second season of the WWE Network comedy show would be forthcoming.

Roman Reigns: It Didn't Matter To Me If It Was Cody Rhodes Or The Rock, I Was In The Main Event No Matter What

Edge said it didn't seem too likely.

"Probably not, because I think our show is too expensive for them and from a timing perspective I think it's going to be hard. We wrote an entire season, started to film it, got some really good stuff in the can, but I think with the Network cutbacks and everything I just don't think it's going to happen. And I don't think... if they could do it I don't know if we'd be able to do it just in terms of our work, you know? But you never know!"

Christian agreed, saying it was "TBD."

This might be extremely disappointing to fans of the duo's off-beat brand of comedy (some of which you can see at the top and bottom of the page), especially considering that back in April, Edge Tweeted out an apparent copy of the script for the first episode of a second season.

We don't know yet if this is an isolated incident, or if it's somehow related to the cancellation of Talking Smack, and whether this is part of a larger effort to cut back on original programming on the WWE Network.

So, while sometimes being patient and waiting to see what happens doesn't feel like it totally reeks of awesomeness, in this case, that's just what we're going to have to do.
