Bruce Prichard was a major player behind the scenes in the WWE, and now he'll make a return on RAW's 25th anniversary show after a decade away.
Fightful spoke with Prichard to talk about his upcoming return to WWE television and said he was actually surprised he received a phone call from WWE's Talent Relations department. Prichard said it was originally going to be a surprise return, but then was even more surprised when he received countless messages congratulating on his return when the company announced Prichard would come back.
"Man, I just got the phone call but it was like I'll believe it until I see it. Then they asked me to be a surprise, but the next thing I know, I'm getting bombarded with messages on my phone saying, 'Hey it's great that you're coming back on RAW.' They announced it, so I guess it's happening. I didn't expect the call. I truly didn't. I was flattered by the call and I'm looking forward to coming back and seeing everyone. I had a great run, had a really good time in the WWE so I look back on it fondly and choose to remember the good times and the fun and reflect on it as much as I can," Prichard said.
Prichard, who does the critically acclaimed "Something to Wrestle With" podcast, is also known for his numerous impressions of various wrestling figures, most notably Vince McMahon. Prichard worked very closely with McMahon throughout Prichard's time with the company and said McMahon has heard it various times.
"Every caricature that I've done, I think I've done it in everyone's face so it's not like it's something I haven't done long ago and to them. Vince has heard it plenty of times," Prichard said.
RAW 25 will take place at both the Barclays Center and the Manhattan Center, the site of the very first episode of Monday Night RAW on January 22. Prichard joins many WWE legends who will make an appearance, such as The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ric Flair, Trish Stratus and many more. Fightful will have complete coverage of RAW 25 as well as a post-show podcast. The full interview with Prichard can be seen in the video above.
You can get tickets to his January 19 Barclays Center live show at BoxOfGimmicks.com.
