Francine reflects on appearing in ECW video games.
ECW had two video games towards the end of the promotion lifespan, ECW Hardcore Revolution in 1999, and ECW Anarchy Rulz in 2000. Francine was lucky enough to be a character in both games and is now talking about her experience with Sean Ross Sapp.
During an hour-long interview with Fightful, Francine reflected on her experience being scanned for the games and how she felt about being in a video game.
"So I guess we went to Acclaim Studios and I remember they were like, ‘Well, wear what you're gonna wear in the video game.’ They took a ton of pictures and then I remember they put us in front of a microphone and the guy was like, ‘Okay, pretend you're throwing up.’ I'd say, ‘Okay, bleh!’ and he'd go, ‘Okay, more. You're projectile vomiting.’ ‘Bleh, bleh!’ and then more and more. ‘Okay, pretend you just got punched in the gut.’ ‘Ugh!’ ‘Alright, do it again.’ ‘Ugh!’ I can't tell you how many times you had to do that kind of stuff. They would find you and then record your voice and those are, ‘Say your catchphrase.’ ‘Okay, I am the Queen of Extreme.’ Say this, ‘Okay, I'll say that.’ That was the whole day. I remember there was a lunch for us. We ate lunch and then it was mostly pictures. Some people did motion capture for it, and you had to do your entrance, you had to walk and stuff like that, and then you did the voiceovers. So it was a fun day and I never thought I'd be in a video game. Pretty cool."
Acclaim, prior to working with ECW, made all of the WWE video games until WWE partnered with THQ beginning with WWE WrestleMania 2000 in 1999. After the closure of ECW, Acclaim created the Legends of Wrestling series which released three games between 2001 and 2005.
