A light heavyweight division encounter is the latest addition to the UFC 219 card as Gokhan Saki is going to be in action against Khalil Rountree.
Saki (1-1-0) earned his first professional MMA victory at UFC Fight Night Japan, defeating Henrique Da Silva by first round knockout. Saki’s only other professional MMA bout came over thirteen years ago at Cage Fighting Championships Cage Carnage 1, losing to James Zikic. Saki is also a highly decorated kickboxer, including appearances for the Glory Kickboxing promotion, where he won the Glory Light Heavyweight Title.
Rountree (6-2-0) enters the fight on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Daniel Jolly and Paul Craig, with both of those wins coming by knockout. . Rountree also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23, defeating Josh Stansbury and losing to Cory Hendricks on the reality show. Rountree also competed four times in the Resurrection Fight Alliance, defeating Blake Troop, Livingston Lukow, Cameron Olson and Justin Polendey.
