Jim Ross says WWE got the Superstar Shakeup right.
On Monday and Tuesday, WWE presented their Superstar Shakeup which was an opportunity to exchange roster members between the two brands. The event was announced last week by Vince McMahon and this week certain wrestlers showed up on a show they were not on last week. In his Wednesday blog, Ross went over the Superstar Shakeup and discussed its success.
"Both brands seem to have had good nights with the reimbursement of key talents. Only time will tell regarding this matter if it will be considered a success or not but it looks as if it's off to a good start," wrote Ross.
Ross approved of the roster moves, he named Dean Ambrose, Charlotte Flair, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn as wrestlers who stood out during the Superstar Shakeup. He said WWE made good moves but more needs to happen to make the roster changes become a positive.
"Bottom line on the Superstar Shakeup is that it feels like WWE got their choices right but it will, again, be largely up to the talents to make this game plan work. Time will tell but this will work if the talents involved take this opportunity to up their focus, preparation and other significant aspects of their vocation," wrote Ross.
He also discussed the other events of SmackDown and Raw, he said he enjoyed the Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns segment from Raw and commented on how unique Shinsuke Nakamura was on SmackDown. Fightful Wrestling covered the Superstar Shakeup including all of the roster moves.
