Jim Ross Forecasts A Roman Heel Turn At Mania And A Year-Long Lesnar Title Run

Jim Ross would like Brock Lesnar to win at Wrestlemania, and hold the title for a year.

Lesnar will be facing Bill Goldberg at Wrestlemania 33 on April 2nd for the WWE Universal Championship. Goldberg won the title from Kevin Owens at WWE Fastlane and will have his first defense against Lesnar. In his blog from Monday, Ross said not only should Lesnar win but he should hold onto the title for a year to build a big match at next year's Wrestlemania 34

"What would you think about Brock Lesnar defending the Universal Title against Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania in NOLA in 2018? That seems to be the direction. I like it as it would give Lesnar a one year run as champ which also would necessitate Lesnar working a few more dates on his last year of his current contract. Seems logical to me. Lesnar could defend the title monthly, if required, quite easily on an enhanced albeit manageable schedule," wrote Ross.

Reigns will be facing The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 33 and Ross believes the match should carry Reigns onto a big 2017.

"Expect a ton of conjecture regarding the conclusion/finish of the Reigns vs Taker bout at WM Orlando. I still see a heel turn and Reigns wins via 'cheating' to at least to gain an unfair advantage OR Taker wins and Roman then destroys The Deadman afterwards and leaves Taker selling. Bottom line is that Reigns has to come out of Wrestlemania with momentum as this match is more about Roman evolving than anything else," wrote Ross.

On Monday's Raw, Reigns would attempt to call out The Undertaker but did not get his request. The match at Wrestlemania 33 was made official soon after Reigns' call out. In the rest of his blog, Ross would discuss Christopher Daniels' Ring of Honor championship win and the estimated six hour length of Wrestlemania 33
