John Cena Under Consideration To Star In 'Knight Rider' Reboot Film

John Cena is like 40% WWE wrestler, 60% Movie Star/Today Show Guest Host/Patriotic Reality Show Host at this point, and he might be about to change the ratio even further.

According to Screen Rant, they're doing a reboot of the 80s TV Show, Knight Rider.

It's about a guy who drives around in a talking car and solving crimes or whatever, the 80s were weird--and producers have their eye on Cena to co-star as the driver, along with Kevin Hart as the voice of the car.

For reference, the original role of the car's voice was played by the actor who also played Mr. Feeny in 'Boy Meets World.'

So this would be a bit of a departure from the original source material.

From the Screen Rant article:

For the role of Knight, the studio is hoping to get WWE star John Cena, while omnipresent comedian Kevin Hart is seen as a possibility for the voice of KITT. It’s important to note that neither has been officially cast, and the Weinstein Company is simply interested in getting them onboard. If nothing else, this gives fans an idea of the tone the studio is looking for, combining Cena’s tough-guy action hero with Hart’s sense of humor.

Seems like the kind of thing that would be right up Cena's alley--he has a collection of classic and rare cars and a recurring series on the Bella Twins YouTube channel called AutoGeek.

Again, nothing is official at this point, but if cast, Cena would certainly take another extended break from the WWE ring, and then when he comes back, someone will call him a part-timer, and Cena will be offended and a feud will start that will last a month until Cena leaves to go film a reboot of Air Wolf.

Starring Dave Chappelle as the helicopter, probably.
