A bantamweight division attraction is going to be headlining next months One Championships 61 card as Kaiarat Akhmetov is in action against Geje Eustaquio.
Akhmetov (20-1-0) is a former One Championships Flyweight Champion, having defeated Adriano Moraes at One Championships 34 to win the belt. Akhmetov is also fighting for the first time since he lost the title to Adriano Moraes in a rematch at One Championships: Kings & Conquerors. Akhmetov is also competing in a non-title fight for the first time in his One Championship tenure, because his previous fights have all been title bouts.
Eustaquio (9-5-0) has won three of his last four in One Championships, with those three wins coming over Saiful Merican, Gianni Subba and Anatpong Bunrad. Eustaquio has also fought current bantamweight champion Adriano Moraes, losing to the champion at One Championships 20. Eustaquio has spent the majority of his professional MMA career in One Championships and he debuted with the promotion back at One Championships 2.
One Championships 61 takes place on Saturday, September 16 from the Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia with Kairat Akhmetov and Geje Eustaquio headlining. Fightful will provide quick results of the event, which streams live on Flo Slam.
