The social media scrap between the Hardys and Impact Wrestling continues.
On Sunday, Matt Hardy ripped Impact Wrestling President Ed Nordholm for trying to "keep" Hardy's "Broken" gimmick.
Hardy posted the tweet in response to a fan's tweet about the copyright battle between Impact and the Hardys over the gimmick:
Hardy's wife, Reby Hardy, has been very vocal on Twitter in criticizing Impact since the Hardys left the company a couple of months ago. Within the past week, she also tweeted that Impact was going after her.
Impact has been fighting to retain creative rights to the "Broken" gimmick, filing trademarks on it, as well as associated characters such as Senor Benjamin. The Hardys, meanwhile, have insisted they came up with the concept entirely themselves.
The Hardys, Matt and Jeff, made their return to WWE last month at WrestleMania 33, winning the Raw Tag Titles as surprise additions to a previously announced Ladder Match for the belts. After successfully retaining the titles last weekend at Payback against Sheamus and Cesaro, Matt Hardy has shown more and more of the "Broken" persona in both tweets and his pattern of speech on WWE programming.
