Michael Elgin has lost a number of bookings following a number of revelations over social media.
It started when a person on Twitter named MOses Malone revealed on her Twitter account that she went to Michael Elgin (Glory Pro Promoter) on social media about a situation where she was sexually harassed and abused by one of the people who regularly wrestle for the company in Sean Orleans. Elgin took no action until November, where Malone shared her story on social media. It was later revealed through other direct messages on social media that Elgin was skeptical of her story.
Malone then posted other direct messages on her timeline about her and Elgin having a personal/sexual relationship with one another.
She also shared messages regarding Elgin's current tour with New Japan, where he is currently teaming with Jeff Cobb. Elgin shared information with her indicating he's not a fan of Cobb or the team, saying that he steals his spotlight:
Elgin spent the weekend saying a number of things on social media, doing everything from saying he is in the process of selling Glory Pro Wrestling to quitting social media, only to return the following day. As of this writing, his Twitter account had been deleted.
He has lost a number of bookings in the wake of these accusations. Ironically, one promotion has already booked Jeff Cobb to replace him:
Jeff Cobb and Michael Elgin are still competing in the World Tag League, which runs through December 10. New Japan hasn't commented regarding the situation, but Cobb himself has been rather light hearted about the matter.
