Alexander Gustafsson vs. Anthony Smith Headlines UFC Fight Night Stockholm

A light heavyweight division attraction, first reported by Brett Okamoto of ESPN, will headline UFC Fight Night Stockholm as #2 Alexander Gustafsson is in action against #4 Anthony Smith.

Gustafsson (18-5-0) is competing for the first time since losing to UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones in the main event of UFC 232. Gustafsson has challenged for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title on three separate occasions, losing twice to the aforementioned Jones and losing once to Daniel Cormier. Gustafsson hasn’t won a fight in almost two years, with that last win coming against Glover Teixeira at UFC Fight Night 109 in May of 2017.

Smith (31-14-0) is fighting for the first time since losing to the aforementioned Jones in the main event of UFC 235. Smith has competed four times in the UFC Light Heavyweight Division, with all four bouts against fighters who have either held or challenged for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title. Smith has picked up thirty one wins as a professional MMA fighter and twenty eight of those victories have come by a form of finish.

UFC Fight Night Stockholm takes place on Saturday, June 1 from the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden with Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Smith headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
