Alexander Volkanovski solidifies his status as the top contender in the featherweight division.
"The Hulk" walked into Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and out-paced "The King of Rio" Jose Aldo, picking up a unanimous decision (30-27 x 3) victory. The 15-minute fight was contested exclusively on the feet with Volkanovski landing the cleaner strikes throughout. Activity on the feet fueled Volkanovski's victory as he kept the pace up and didn't let Aldo settle into his usual rhythm, using his size and strength to press Aldo against the cage to slow any momentum.
