Terror struck the United States and the people of Parkland, Florida this past Valentines Day when a shooter by the name of Nikolas Cruz allegedly murdered 17 people at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Alexey Oleynik is a heavyweight fighter in the UFC and his daughter attends the school and was there during the time of the shooting. Oleynik’s daughter, Polina, was unharmed and escaped the shooting alongside many other fortunate souls.
Oleynik took to Twitter and Instagram to document the whole situation:

Cruz is now in custody and is awaiting the legal process for the horrific situation that took so many lives.
The UFC fighter returns to action this coming May at UFC 224 in Brazil and his opponent is going to be top fifteen ranked heavyweight Junior Albini.
